Job Description
The company is seeking to employ suitable Ghanaians to fill the following positions at the Technical Services department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate shall:
- Be responsible for continuous sensitivity analyses for the various open pittable prospects around the operating mine .
- This includes optimisations, designs/costing plans and reviews
- Undertake sensitivity analyses on all current and future open pits with respect to optimisation parameter variations
- Undertake pit design variations to determine optimum extraction sequence
- Maintain routine records related to work performed
- Deputise for the Long Term Planning Superintendent and/or short term Planning Senior Engineer as required
- Work co-operatively with others and perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills or Experience
- Possess a degree in Mining Engineering
- A minimum of three to four years hand on experience in a mining industry
- Planning experience associated with open pit operations is essential
- Computer literacy in spreadsheet and database software packages
- Experience in Surpac/Vulpac/Datamine/Whittle and/or any other Mining Planning Software
- Able to show initiative and co-ordination skills and be able to interact with the Mining Planning section
- Must have good written and oral communication skill in English Language
- Some experience with training of junior personnel
- A holder of a valid Ghanaian motor vehicle driving license
