The European Union has given support to the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) for the 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections, and the NCCE announces the recruitment for a three period of the project personnel listed below:
Job Purpose:
To guide the project team in the use of financial resources to achieve value for money.
Job Summary:
- Provides technical guidance on financial management to the project manager
- Ensures the judicious use of funds
- Ensures the operation of a double entry accounting system
- Maintains proper books of Accounts
- Prepares periodic financial reports on the project
- Prepares vouchers and makes payments
- Maintains credit control to reduce cash exposure
- Co-ordinates with the Auditor for effective expenditure verification
- Posts entries and prepares bank Reconciliation statements
Required Skills or Experience
- CA (Ghana), ACCA or BA/BSc (Accounting), B.Com
- Must have eight (8) years work experience, three (3) of which must have been at a similar level. Previous experience with EU funded project accounts is an advantage
- Must be proficient in the use of Excel and have advance knowledge of Word
- Ability to work with at least one software to maintain a double entry accounting system is essential
