Job Description

Job Title: People and Culture Manager 

Location: Accra, Ghana

Contract Type: Open Ended

Oxfam in Ghana is looking for a People and Culture Manager to lead on all organizational development and people management issues. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing Oxfam’s HR policies and procedures in order to effectively support the achievement of the Oxfam Country Strategy.

• As an HR generalist, you will be responsible for a variety of HR activities ranging from recruitment and selection, performance management and employee relations to the development and implementation of strategy as part of the Country Management Team.
• You will also be responsible for the management of HR systems including the HR information system and the payroll system. The implementation of organizational development and staff development interventions also fall under the remit of this role.

Required Skills or Experience

• Suitable candidates will have a relevant tertiary degree with significant HR experience at both at a strategic and operational level.
• Experience in organizational development and change management are required, as well as a sound understanding of relevant employment legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a critical focus on providing superior levels of service to managers and staff are essential.
