The positions entails the supervision of up to 30 staff in that section of the company, so a proven track record of managing such teams is desirable.
Candidate shall have strong leadership and managerial qualities and shall be responsible for the overall supervision of the engineering staff. Candidate shall also be responsible for the overall mechanical design work and endorsement of detailed designs including technical integrity responsibility and co-ordination with the various discipline groups to meet the objectives of a Project. Candidate shall be responsible for mechanical deliverables for the onshore/offshore oil/gas production facilities in accordance with Industry Design Codes and be familiar with the requirements /interactions of other engineering disciplines and clients.
Use of API, ANSI, ASME etc., Codes and Standards in the selection and specification of materials and equipment, sizing of vessels, pipelines and related facilities in co-operation with other design divisions.
Expansion and contraction of flowlines and piping configurations, oil and gas system single and multiphase flow calculations, surge calculations etc.,
Manifolding for production and test facilities, including developing designs of standard layouts as required.
Use of safety codes and practices
Calculation of stage separation patterns, sizing of equipment for two (2) or three (3) phases and sand removal.
Gas processing including dehydration, sweetening, dewatering, hydrocarbon dew point control and condensate dewatering.
Selection and application of flow/pressure/shut down control devices within an oil production facility.
Design of relief, drain, vent and flare systems including dispersion and radiation
Size, select and prepare specifications for oil pumping or transfer equipment of the positive displacement or centrifugal type.
Size, select and prepare specifications for gas compression facilities
Metering of various material and related disposal and/or storage facilities
Design and selection of corrosion inhibitor injection, and chemical injection facilities for oil production station.
Possesses in depth knowledge in marginal field development technology.
Broad background of oil production design for offshore area comprising experience in multi-deck, multi- purpose installations and related safety aspects.
Design, fabrication and inspection of ASME BPV Section VII (boiler and pressure vessel).
Selection, design and inspection of heat transfer equipment, including heat exchangers and coolers.
Selection, sizing and design of gas turbines.
Selection of HVAC philosophy
