Senior Banking Officer Job Opportunity

The Akatakyiman Rural Bank Ltd with headquarters in Komenda, C/R, invites applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians for the following position.

Job Function:
Deliver an efficient banking operational systems and services for internal and external stakeholders designed to promote a positive image of the bank.

• Oversee the day to day banking operations at the head office branch to ensure that staff meet deadlines set for their schedules.

The successful candidate will be required, among others, to:

• Be responsible for customer account maintenance
• Supervise all inter-branch transactions
• Monitor head office clearing account reconciliation and submit timely and accurate reconciliation statements to the Banking Operations Manager and the Chief Executive Officer
• Manage all customer investment accounts including Treasury Bills and Fixed Deposits
• Supervise and reconcile all intra-branch transactions including Payment Orders, Bills Payable, Office Accounts, Controller and Accountant General Salary suspense accounts and advices for civil servants etc
• Ensure that returns are prepared timely, accurately, completely and regularly using the e-Fass software
• Maintain clear communications among staff and between the banking unit and other units
• Be conversant with Cheques Codeline Clearing (CCC) procedures
• Monitor effectively all money transfer products including Apex Link (i-trans) and Western Union Money Transfer and e-zwich
• Provide suggestions to management for actions to address issues identified

 

Required Skills or Experience

The right candidate must possess the following:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or level two of acceptable professional qualification eg; ACCA, CA, ACIB
• A minimum of five years satisfactory performance as a Banking Officer in a banking institution
• Must have superior communication, interpersonal, written, verbal, analytical skills, with strong ability to write reports
• Ability to assess and monitor costs and other risk areas of operations and submit reports to the Chief Executive Officer through the Operations Manager
