ARB Apex Bank Ghana: Network Engineer WAN & LAN

Under the auspices of the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA), applications are invited from suitably qualified person to fill the following vacant position at the Rural Banks Computer Operations Centre, under the Ghana Rural Bank Computerisation and Interconnectivity Project (GRBCIP)

Reporting to the Manager in charge of WAN, the position holder would be responsible for managing the WAN infrastructure for the rural banks
Managing SLAs and Maintenance Agreements with service providers
Monitor and analyze bandwidth consumption pattern and advice the Rural Banks accordingly

Required Skills or Experience

Minimum of a first degree in Computer Science/Telecom Engineering/Electrical Engineering
At least 3 years post qualification experience in Telecoms Engineering in VSAT, Radio or ISDN and System Administration in a Network Operation Centre environment
Familiarity with banking related software applications is desirable
Practical experience in Cisco routers and switches
Experience in Firewall implementation
Ability to monitor and optimize network performance
Appreciation of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SMTP and other TCP/IP based services is essential
