The Business Planning & Strategy Manager shall be responsible for ensuring business, employees‘goals, incentives, PDPs and support units are aligned with the company’s corporate strategy. The role reports to the Head, Strategy & Planning.

The role has the following responsibilities;

• Organise, prepare and facilitate strategic dialogue on behalf of the company  to formulate company strategic objectives, principles and priorities linked to the respective planning cycle
• Facilitate and support corporate strategy developments on the basis of sound market and competitors’ analysis.
• Conduct fact-based and continuous screening/analysis and interpretation of the Ghanaian macro environment and the total telecommunications market and its impact on the business
• Design quantitative models with relevance to the Ghanaian market and identify critical scenarios
• Develop strategies on the basis of chosen scenarios
• Develop and provide prompt subject expertise on business themes to management board and senior management on a project basis

Required Skills or Experience

Role Specific qualification;

• University degree in economics, marketing and/or business administration (or MBA). Preferably international graduate or master studies
• 5-10 years of successful professional experience in high profile companies
• Substantial background in mobile telecommunication and/or adjacent industries
• Strong analytical skills
• Structured thought process
• Strong financial focus/ quantitative focus
• Practice in strategic tools such as Value Based Management, Business Modelling and Balanced Scorecard
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to communicate at all levels equally and effectively
