Kumasi Archdiocese is seeking the services of five Accountants to manage its five Investments Units in the Kumasi Metropolis.

Key responsibilities will include coordinating Financial, Accounting and Administrative services for the Investment Unit. The position requires exercising independent judgement to solve to solve Finance, Accounting and Administrative related challenges while maintaining a high level of integrity, accountability and transparency in all financial reporting. The
Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the Archdiocese Financial Integrity, preparing all Financial and accounting Reports efficiently and in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles, Government of Ghana Regulations, Archdiocese policies and procedures

Job Description

Job Title: Accountant

Key responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Preparation of The Units quarterly annual and monthly budgets
• Preparation and Presentation of Financial reports to the appropriate Institutions
• Recording all the Unit’s Cash based and bank transactions
• Preparation of statutory reports and payment to relevant Government Bodies
• Management of the Investment Units Funds prudently

Qualification Required & Experience

• At least 4-year experience in Accounting in recognised institution
• The Candidate must be HND or First Degree Holder in Accounting from Recognised Tertiary Institution
• Knowledge in MS word, Excel and Power Point
• Knowledge in Any Accounting Software will be added advantage
• Fluent in written and spoken English is required
• Strong analytical skills and ability to write good financial reports
• Experience in Managing field Office preferably Pharmaceutical

CRITERIA

• Ability to work with less supervision
• Must be a committed Christian (clergy, religious or lay person))
• The position requires the successful candidate to be bonded
• The candidate requires at least two guarantors
• The person’s age should not fall below 25 years
