Central Ashanti Gold: Pronton System Officer

Central Ashanti Gold Limited (‘CAGL’) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Perseus Mining Limited, a company listed on the Australian and Toronto Stock Exchanges. The Company is developing the Central Ashanti Gold Project near Ayanfuri in the Central Region of Ghana. The project has an expected mine life of 10 years.

Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the position will be based at the Central Ashanti Gold Project site, near Ayanfuri

The responsibilities for the position include but not limited to:

Pronto access control including addition and removal of users and changes to user access levels in accordance with company policy and instruction
Training of users in general system utilisation, especially in respect to stores and purchase/maintenance requisitions
System upkeep and auditing to ensure system controls are maintained
Report design and high level assistance to end users to obtain the required information
Uploading budgets and other major periodical processes
Remuneration:
The position will be based on site however some of the time will be spent in Accra. The Company offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the candidates’ qualifications and experience
Required Skills or Experience

The candidates shall be tertiary qualified with a minimum of five (5) years relevant post graduate experience
Significant experience in maintaining a pronto system at an active mine site or mining corporate office environment
Experience in a mine site (or major industrial) start up operation would be beneficial
Demonstrable exposure to the full suite of pronto packages but especially financial, maintenance and projects
Requires well develop written and oral communication skills should have a demonstrated commitment to training
