Education / Professional Qualifications

Have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Minimum of Second Class Upper Division)
Be a qualified or partly qualified member of ICAG or ACCA
Have a minimum of one year relevant experience, including National Service
Person Specification
Good knowledge of the Firm’s business
Personal credibility through living the values as custodian of the Firm’s culture
The ability to main high degree of confidentiality as role involves dealing with client information and trade secrets
Basic knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, other audit applications and common audit procedures
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software programmes
The ability to plan and prioritize workloads in order to meet agreed deadlines
Good organizational and planning skills
Strong analytical, technical and research skills
The ability to take initiative, be proactive and forward thinking
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail skills

Responsibilities Include:

Develop technical skills on the job and through formal training
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
Identify and communicate engagement progress and issues in an organized and timely manner
Work as an effective team member to complete project components and assigned tasks

Effective document work in accordance with the required accounting and audit standards
Resolve client enquiries and issues relating to the audit function

Understand, document and test the client internal control, and will be involved in substantive testing including, reviewing supporting documents of the client
Ensure compliance of best practices of all audit procedures and standards
Assist and support the audit team in the day to day functions and report to the audit senior or manager
Ensure strict compliance with the Firm’s core values and ethical principles
