A leading Oil & Gas company is looking for a qualified candidate for the following position: Cost Controller / Reporting

Job Description

Job Title: Cost Controller/ Reporting

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Budget/Forecast preparation in coordination with Department Managers within operations department
• Monitor the monthly expenditure and the variances versus budget/FC. Collect and record the reasons for the variances to ensure a proper monitoring
• Assuring and maintaining all aspects of cost control (support by in-house software)
• Raise and monitor purchase requisitions (PRs), Calls Offs and Goods receipt notes (GRNs) (Supported by in-house software)
• Assist with the implementation of new software for cost controlling and contract admin (SAP) and further
• Monitor contract values and field cost estimates and advise on requirements to increase contract ceilings (ACVs) as well as contract expiry dates
• Department focal point for the use of MoDiCo system
• Keep track of invoices from services companies
• Provide cost control expertise and support to the other department under operations
• Assist with value of work done (VOWD) reports and month end accruals
• Prepare monthly report on budget spending status and advise the requirement for adjustments if necessary to ensure meetings the targets
• Responsible for checking all the invoices within operations department
• Responsible for reports and all administration matters related to contracts and cost management
• Assist with the compilation of annual budgets & well AFEs

Main Interfaces

Internal: (Direct and functional reporting relationships, interaction within and between departments and functions)

• Reports directly to the contract and cost control coordinator
• Liaise with managers within operations department for budget preparation, cost control and contract preparation as well as providing cost control expertise and support
• Liaise with the finance department for cost allocation and reconciliation issues
• Liaise with the contract administrator’s as of invoice QA/QC
• Liaise with the Procurement Department, keeping track of the progress on tenders, contract awards and contract validity
• Liaise with milan HQ CAPM for guideline and MoDiCo

External

• Liaise with JV partners for budget reporting
• Liaise with counterparts in other companies to ensure cordial relations and swift dispute resolution

Qualification Required & Experience

• Degree or Masters in Economics or its related subjects
• Minimum of 7 years of Oil & Gas industry experience
• Minimum 3 years of cost control experience
• Accounting diploma
• Technical/economics
• Costing & Budgeting/cost analysis/control/cost reporting
• Cost close-out report preparation, cost control – budgeting
