Job Description

Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Officer 

Our platforms consist of our marketplace, which connects sellers with consumers, our logistics service, which enables the shipment and delivery of packages from sellers to consumers, and our payment service, which facilitates transactions among participants active on our platform in selected markets. Through our online platforms, consumers can access a wide range of physical and digital goods and services, fashion, electronics, beauty products and also hotel and flight bookings or restaurant delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the Jumia Warehouse is compliant with the local HSE laws.
• Developing the Jumia Warehouse HSE policy.
• Conducting routine training for warehouse staff on best practices in HSE.
• Report HSE risks to the Warehouse Manager.

Qualification and Experience:

• A valid HSE Certificate from an internationally recognized HSE organization.
• A Secondary School Leaving Certificate (W.A.S.S.C.E or others).
• Good knowledge of and enthusiasm for E-Commerce in Africa.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to unlearn and learn new skills.
