mLabs is the innovation (R&D) group at Meltwater. We’re a growing team of driven engineers and entrepreneurs that get stuff done, that are fast and smart, that focus on the things that matters, that reports directly to the CTO & that are staying ahead of the curve by investing in new technologies. Currently we are looking for a new team member that will, together with us, build a new digital industry.
Job Description
Job Title: Backend Engineer
What do we do?
Imagine that you would get notified when your business competitor is launching a new product, when they are recruiting more people in a specific market, when they are out-investing you, when they file a new patent, when their stock price surge, when their customer satisfaction is on the rise etc etc. Wouldn’t that be kind of great? We’d like to think so.
With our new product we’re collecting and analyzing (using machine learning and AI) millions pieces of data everyday. This data is enriched, analyzed and turned into valuable business insights that we deliver via reports, web services and mobile apps to our customers.
Who are we looking for?
Do you know Node.js? Do you have a lot of experience with working with restful APIs? Are you a driver that get stuff done? If so then we would like you to join us!
Other Aptitudes that we dig:
Who are we?
In 1943, an American aerospace company Lockheed gathered their most talented engineers in a dingy hanger and assigned them an unthinkable mission – to build the first ever American fighter jet to score a kill in aerial combat. In the years that followed, the Lockheed Advanced Development Program (aka. Skunk Works) developed some of the most famous aircraft designs of all time, including the U2, the SR71 Blackbird, the F117 Nighthawk, and the F22 Raptor.
In 2013, a Norwegian media intelligence company – Meltwater – launched their own Skunk Work, called mLabs. mLabs’ mission is to explore the furthest lands, the darkest areas, for ideas, technologies, and products that will propel Meltwater into becoming the global leader in big data outside of the firewall. To make this transition to new markets, new data types, and new products, a rapidly iterating center of innovation is critical.
