Micro-Credit Association Ghana (MCAG) wishes to invite applications from suitably persons to fill the following position

Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Officer

Main Duties

• Perform financial analysis and report to management
• Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliation and journal entries
• Generate financial reports and statements to managers for review
• Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolution
• Monitor expenditure, analyze revenues and determine budget variance and report the same to management
• Respond to accounting inquiries from management on a timely basis
• Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and prepare requested documentation
• Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations
• Provide technical support and advice to management
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
• Analyse member financial report and respond to them
• Manage donor funds and report on them to management

Qualification Required & Experience

• A first degree, ICA or ACCA Part 2, HND or its equivalent
• At least 3 years work experience in managerial position in the finance industry
• Must be a team player, strategic thinker, have analytical and problem solving skills
• Computer skills including ability to operate computerized accounting spreadsheet and word processing programs at a highly efficient level
• Age Limit: 25 years to 35 years

Core Competence

• Knowledge of the regulatory framework of Money Lending in Ghana
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
