Job Summary: 
To set the overall direction on power/energy system planning, operation and optimization for the organization and to develop and nurture a Power Planning unit that will support the business objectives. To maintain the Switch and Data Centre, mechanical and electrical equipment to world class standards and optimize and drive energy efficiency initiatives in the entire organization

Job Role

  • Develop new and optimize existing PPP to enhance efficiency
  • Implement and manage escalation procedure and flow.
  • Enforce adherence to PPP in configuration changes, planned work and ATPs
  • Build team’s competencies adequate delivery of relevant hard and soft trainings as per business needs
  • Financial budget planning and expenditure control.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects as per project plans
  • Ensure 100% configuration changes are as per Change Control Board approval
  • Deliver ad-hoc work related requests
  • Deliver regular reports & presentations to relevant stakeholders within and outside the organisation 

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineeringor HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least 7 years’ professional experience in a corporate environment/GSM environment. 5 years should have been in implementation and maintenance/management of power/cooling systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Adequate knowledge in network system technologies like GSM, WCDMA, GPRS, 3G and, IP networks, etc
  • Network Operations &Quality management
  • Adequate Knowledge in application of technological advancements such as energy efficiency systems.
  • In-depth knowledge in electrical infrastructure & power systems (AC/DC)
  • In-depth knowledge to Power Feed Equipment that supports marine cabling technology
  • In-depth knowledge in UPS, Rectifier, inverters and electrical reticulation.
  • In-depth knowledge in Dimensioning of Power Systems
  • In-depth knowledgein the Functionality of M&E equipment

Professional Competencies

  • Adequate knowledge in Principals of Project Management Basics
  • Adequate knowledge in Financial Management Basics
  • Ability to use initiative in solving technical problems.
