Newmont Ghana Gold Limited, a core operating district of Newmont Mining Corporation which is one of the world’s largest gold, mining companies.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will report to the Project Commercial Manager and will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling of the Akyem Project Contract activities

  • Implement, monitor, maintain and adhere to contracting policies, procedures and systems
  • Ensure successful procurement of goods and services through effective contracting in terms of cost, quality, services and availability
  • Assist Project Commercial Manager in developing contract plans and strategies
  • Handle invoice discrepancies with suppliers and the accounting department

The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Required Skills/ Job experience:

  • A Bachelor degree in Materials Management, Business Administration or related field and or Accredited Purchasing Practitioner certification
  • At least ten years of increasingly responsible contracts and purchasing experience in a mining environment
  • Good interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
  • Must possess and demonstrate high ethical and professional standards in all dealings
