Newmont Ghana Gold Limited, a core operating district of Newmont Mining Corporation which is one of the world’s largest gold, mining companies.

Job Description

The successful candidate will report to the IT Manager and will be responsible for the overall technical and subject matter expert for data related to regional operations systems applications

Essential Duties:

Liaise with the operational business unit to understand business process and develop recommendations and action plans
Develop, implement and monitor a standard approach for data error processing, audits and controls
Work closely with the Enterprise Data Warehouse team to ensure regional data reporting requirement solutions are provided through EDW’s service offerings
Responsible for managing consulting resources who provide development expertise in support of project requirements related to information

Required Skills or Experience

Technical skills, Education/Training & Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 5 years experience in an operational business unit with 4 years of data analysis and implementation experience
Must exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills, and deductive reasoning skills
Experienced in business process modeling and workflow analysis, redesign and implementation in large organizations
Must possess strong SQL skills, experience with programming languages, and Windows and Unix operating systems. Experience with Business Object is an advantage
