PAGL is looking for an IT project manager for the establishment of a new bank in Accra. The project manager will be responsible for the delivery of projects on our digital roadmap, on time and within the agreed scope, budget and quality.

Job Description

Job Title: IT Project Manager – Retail Banking – Accra, Ghana

He/she needs to engage with business teams, software engineers and third parties to constantly improve our digital offering. We are looking for a capable project manager with the skills and vision to help manage our projects.
You should have experience in project management, preferably in the finance sector and/or in the digital environment, be a highly motivated team player and have good communication skills.

You will lead and guide the members of our project teams, and serve as the liaison between our company, our clients and our third party suppliers. Your work will enable our company to grow financially and with
great reputation.
Managing project execution and ensuring assigned projects to adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
Consulting with clients to define and clarify project requirements, budgets, and statements of work.
Creating and updating project plans with information such as project objectives, specifications, schedules, staffing, funding and other resources.
Tracking and monitoring project milestones and deliverables.
Assigning work to appropriate team members and ensuring that they are fully informed of their objectives, goals and expectations.
Evaluating the performance of project team members.

Key Accountabilities:

Initialize and promote E-banking projects
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the successful implementation of projects
Organise and run workshops and follow up activities with all relevant stakeholders to ensure business and technical requirements are fully understood prior to development beginning.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

Track progress against plans and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
Manage relationships with all involved stakeholders (IT teams, business representatives, and software vendors)
Manage project risks and issues
Challenge requirements to ensure design of efficient solutions
Create and maintain project documentation together with the project team
Maintain quality by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Collaborate closely with technical development teams (internal and external)

Required Experience:

Proven track record in project management; agile development methodologies are an advantage
Experience in banking/finance industry
Experience in a digital environment (preferred)
Avaloq knowledge and programming experience are an advantage
Banking applications CR2 and T24
