Job Description

Job Title: Senior Assistant Registrar

Functions

• Drafts training and capacity building programmes on new and modern architectural practices
• Drafts educational curricula that best fits the architectural practices in consultation with tuition providers
• Undertakes resource mobilization activities for the implementation of programmes and projects of the department
• Registers Architects / Draughtsmen / Technician and publishes such registers
• Makes inputs in the development of systems to generate data on all architects

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of PG Dip in Architecture from an accredited tertiary institution
• A master’s degree will be an advantage
• A postgraduate certificate in Public Administration and/or Management
• A qualified and registered architect with a minimum of 4 years post qualification post position relevant working experience
• Evidence of participation in continuing professional development programmes organized by the ARC/GIA and relevant bodies
• Must pass a competitive selection interview conducted by the council in consultation with the Public Services Commission
