Job Title: PSO Senior Subject Matter Expert – Engineering

Duties and Responsibilities :

The PSO Senior Subject Matter Expert – Engineering will be the Team Lead’s principal mentor for GAF-led Engineering training as well as the Team Lead’s Lead Trainer for Advanced Engineering training as part of Task H.

The PSO Senior Subject Matter Expert – Engineering will mentor, advise and assist GAF trainers conducting engineering training to the battalion deploying to UNMISS, the company deploying to MINUSMA, and will train GAF engineering cadre IAW with learning objectives and outcomes specified in the SOW.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications : The Senior SME (engineering) shall have the following education, experience, and military background:

Minimum of ten (15) years U.S. or foreign military construction engineering occupational specialty experience.

Experience as senior trainer to a foreign security partner with directly related experience in capacity building.

Desired Qualifications

Experience (member of a construction or combat engineering unit) while deployed to a combat, peacekeeping, or other contingency operation, U.S. or foreign military, at O-3 to O-5, E-7 to E-9 level.

Experience managing military construction engineering projects (i.e., force protection, base camp design, water, and road improvement missions) in austere environments.

UN peacekeeping operations experience.

Experience working in sub-Saharan Africa.
