Successful applicant will support the bank’s network infrastructure at the Ghana GSSC and ensure SLA with businesses are met.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- To perform design, implement and troubleshoot the Bank’s enterprise Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN)/Metropolitan Area Network (Man) networks
- To provide a continuous and proactive network monitoring and control the network response, throughout, and to ensure that the SLA with the Bank Businesses are enforced
- To conduct network analysis, and capacity planning for the Bank networks
- To work with external vendors that provide the Bank with solutions and ensure that they are able to deliver the terms of the Banks SLA
- To ensure processes, guidelines and procedures are in place and enforced for quality installation, running, operating and support of the Bank’s networks
- To review & fine-tune the existing processes, guidelines, and procedures by industry best practice comparisons
- To evaluate the technology solutions delivered by the business and to develop the acceptance criteria and process for the operability and supportability of the solutions
- To ensure that technical solutions proposed, satisfy both the immediate and long-term needs of the business, and ensure adherence with the Group’s technical and security standards in all aspects of the team’s activities
- To assist in the provision of business recovery sites to enable business transactions can be conducted and monitor exposure in the event of a disaster
- To co-ordinate and hand over of support of new networks infrastructure to the production support teams and provide internal training if necessary

Required Skills or Experience
- Minimum, Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer science or equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience in Network Operations and Support; Industry standard Juniper CISCO certifications: Certifications highly desirable
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in information systems with special emphasis on networks and data communications and minimum of one year experience in multinational environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft XP, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol and other network protocols
- Good analytical and problem solving skills and ability to handle a range of systems related issues
- Good communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts and recommendations to non-technical staff at all levels, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to organize, plan and implement work assignments, juggle competing demands and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines
