The Judicial Service of Ghana with the mandate of promoting smooth and efficient administration of justice to all manner of persons without fear or favour, affection or ill-will, and thereby creating an enabling environment for good governance is establishing an effective and efficient Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Department. The Service therefore requires the services of result-oriented, self motivated and exceptionally competent individual to join the M&E Team in the following position.

The Deputy Director of M&E (MIS) will report directly to the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation. The duties and responsibilities shall include the following:

Conduct data and system requirement analysis
Prepare quarterly and annual reports for stakeholders
Supervise, collect and analyze field data
Supervise the input of data and establish checks with the data collection systems to ensure accuracy, relevance and timeliness of information to stakeholders
Supervise the training of staff for the M&E System
Assist in monitoring activities and preparation of project reports
Harmonize and generate quarterly plans and quarterly reports
Any other related duty as may be assigned by the Judicial Secretary/Director of M&E

Required Skills or Experience

To qualify for this position the applicant must have:

A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Management Information System
Preference will be given to those with a master’s degree in relevant discipline
At least ten (10) years progressive work experience as M&E Officer, four (4) of which should be in management position, preferably in the public sector
Training in M&E from a recognized institution
Demonstrated proficiency in data management software packages
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
