Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Crane and Lifting Superintendent

Tullow Ghana Limited (TGL) is seeking to hire a Deputy Crane and Lifting Superintendent based in Takoradi who will work closely with the Crane and lifting superintendent to gain the ability to supervise lifting requirements, non- routine lifts and produce lifting plans including:

• Assisting with planning pipe yard and container storage area layout, racks and shelving to best oilfield practice in collaboration with warehouse EHS and QA-QC standards.
• Verifying that all lifting procedures are adhered to and periodic reviews are carried out on lifting procedural documents.
• Working with the onshore and offshore DMC with regards to planning any heavy lifts compiling lift plans and mobilization of plant.
• Interfacing closely with QA/ QC for pipe Inspection and rectification works.

You will be a Crane and lifting professional with good technical knowledge of cranes, forklifts, pipe yards and oilfield equipment and materials.  You will also be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:

• Level 1 Basic Lifting and Signalling, Effective computer experience including systems for tracking loose lifting equipment and transit sling movements.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with a lifting and crane operation experience, preferably with at least 3 years Inspection Knowledge working with a LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) registered Inspection company.
• Proven experience of all lifting, handling and stacking requirements according to international Standards.
• Good communication skills
