Our client is a leading international exploration and production company with world class assets. Currently they have a Senior Offshore Operations Superintendent requirement for a West African development and are seeking a suitably qualified self starter with a proactive approach to work, to join the team.
The Senior Operations Superintendent will form part of the Project Operations Team in Ghana. Reporting to the Operations Manager the candidate will have internal interaction with the Engineering and Operations Teams, Support Functions and Company Group Operations functions. Externally the role will interact with operations and maintenance contractors.

The Offshore Senior Operations Superintendent will be primarily responsible for providing high level coaching and mentoring to the Facilities Leadership Team. Key accountabilities include:
 Providing Coaching and Mentoring to the Offshore Facilities Leadership team in all aspects of their day to day business. This will include overseeing the safe and effective application of the facilities Safety Management System.
 Ensuring the Management System is implemented safely and effectively
 Providing deputy OIM support for Emergency response in the event that the Lead OIM is not available.
 Providing regular audits of the facility operations and team competencies to ensure asset integrity of FPSO, wells and subsea infrastructure is maintained
 Providing regular audits of the facility to ensure Offshore Process Safety is being managed appropriately
 Ensuring that training is undertaken in a timely and effective manner so as to ensure compliance with the Nationalisation plan.
 Will also contribute more widely to the growth of our client’s production & development capabilities and also provide valuable input to the TEN development and production programs and peer reviews
The successful candidate will take on a 12 month contract on a 28:28 rotational roster. A generous package is on offer which will include accommodation and travel.

 Formal engineering qualification as well as oil and gas operational experience in similar environments, ideally
 Operations team leading / management experience
 Planning, mentoring and training capabilities
 Management of Change
 International experience; new country environments building from scratch
 High level production and operational skills gained from national and international roles; West Africa experience beneficial.
 Preferred to have held in-field OIM role or similar experience
 Deepwater operational experience, ideally FPSO
 Analytical and personable with high level verbal and written communication skills
 Team player with ability to take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion
 Best practice, pragmatic and fit for purpose approach
 Open, honest and reliable
