Senior Development Geologist – Tullow Oil
Tullow Oil plc is a leading independent oil and gas exploration and production group quoted on the London, Irish and Ghana stock exchange (symbol: TLW) and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 index. The Group has interest in over 90 exporation and production licenses across 22 countries and fouces on four core areas; Africa, Europe, South Asia and South America.
Job Description
As its subsidiary, Tullow Ghana Limited, continues to develop, the business is looking to enhance its cadre of senior professionals as above.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Advertisement
- Provide high quality geological evaluation and advice to the Field team and Management
- Provide regular updates/correlations for ongoing wells
- Undertake geological studies, evaluation and QC as required, particularly with external contractors
- Play a key role in ongoing & future field development/infill planning studies
- Support field volumetric assessment for year-end reserve exercises and work with independent reserves auditors
- Provide technical assistance in reservoir volumetric assessment and undertake geomodelling studies, as required
Required Skills or Experience
- Masters degree in Geology
- 10+ years experience in upstream oil and gas industry with strong background in development geology
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent technical computer skills are required
- Technically and commercially credible, open and honest
