Job Description

Job Title: Secretary

A leading Oil & Gas Company is looking for qualified candidates for the following position, based in Accra

Job Purpose:

To perform secretarial duties and ensure that all letters of confidential nature are handled personally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Types correspondence and ensures that all letters of confidential nature are handled personally.
  • Receives all official emails, writing routine correspondence on own initiative, as necessary.
  • Makes appointments for superior and reminds him/her of when they are due, also deals with inquiries, answering phone calls as well as screen, receive and attend to visitors.
  • Makes requisition for stationery items for the department and keeps an adequate record of these items.
  • Maintains a good filing system and ensures that all documents received are distributed as appropriate or filled off promptly.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Accredited university degree HND in Secretarial Studies/Administration or similar.
  • 3 years’ experience Excellent oral and written English.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Role Characteristics: 

  • Interpersonal Relationship Confidentiality Good Communication Skills, Listening & Reception
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
