JOB PROFILE / ROLE CLASSIFICATION STATEMENT
Job Title: Territory Manager

Function: Customer Development

Work Level: 1

Reports to: Regional Sales Manager

Global/Category/Region/Local: Local

Main Purpose

Primarily to ensure availability and visibility of company products at Point of sales (POS) through Key Distributors and channels.

Main Accountabilities

· To ensure compliance with Unilever trade policies at KD level.

· Manage Distributor sales resources.

· Ensure implementation of trade promotions at POS.

· Handling KD and customers’ complaints at KD level.

· Take responsibility for the successful landing of various initiatives e.g. CASHLESS, and so on

· Drive sales target within the assigned territory

· Ensure proper management of KD funding and profitability

· Responsible for the KD, DSRs and third party contractors within the territory

Critical success Factors for the Job

Key Skills

Relevant Experience
· Communication skills

· Negotiation and Relationship Management Skills

· Coaching skills

· Has to be a thinker and a doer

· Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

· Interest in data analysis

· 3 years’ experience in sales.

· FMCG experience is desirable

2. Assistant Channel and Category Development Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Asst. Channel and Category Development Manager

Job Grade: WL1

Function: Customer Development

Reporting to: Channel and Category Development Manager

Direct report(s): None

Profile & Experience

Provide support to the Channel and Category Development Manager (CCD) by translating category strategies into execution plans for the various channels and categories to deliver the volume and turnover objectives of the business. Ideal for someone with at least 5 years’ experience in a sales role. Field sales experience and marketing will be additional advantage.

Job Accountabilities/Fundamentals

· Develop and Translate promotional briefs into executable plans for implementation in the various channels

· Work with CCD to develop channel strategies for growth

· Work closely with shopper marketing manager to sign off Point of Sales materials to drive visibility of the brand/category in the various channels and point of sale.

· Market visits to inspect jobs, review brand performance vs competition and entrench customer/consumer focus.

· Monitor promotion and activations for S&OP Process and track ROI

Key Performance Indicator’s

· Implement activities that to Deliver/ land the month and quarter plan

· USG and Market Share of small ‘C’

· Manage the execution of Promotions

Distribution Key Performance Indicator’s/ Core of the Core: are all SKUs that make 60% Unilever´s Revenue (CotC), Forecasting accuracy

3. Assistant Shopper Marketing Manager

Job Title: Assistant Shopper Marketing Manager

Job Grade: WL1

Function: Customer Development

Reporting to: Channel and Category Development Manager

Direct report(s): None

Profile & Experience

Role requires a strong CD resource with depth in Shopper Insights, negotiations, Joint Business Plan (JBP) and account management skills. Recommended for resource with at least 5 Years’ experience in CD. Marketing experience will be additional advantage

Job Accountabilities/Fundamentals

· Develop bespoke shopper marketing plans for Strategic customers, driven by always-on fundamental Jobs-To-Be-Done around marketing plans e.g. Beauty Channels

· Shopper insight led Point of Sale Materials and assortments, introductions & shelf planograms by customer (developed)/ channel (emerging)

· Customer Collaboration Centers to drive JBP through shopper insights, analytics and opportunity identification together with the Field Sales Team

· Promotion & pricing guidance (Net Revenue Management) – strategy and price positions, for a customer / channel in collaboration with CD Excellence Team

· Define Perfect store standards (1 pager), drive Core of the Core with customers

Key Performance Indicator’s

· Category growth and Market shares

· Share of shelf, share of assortment, quality of distribution

· 1 pagers created and implemented

Customer profitability/ service levels / on shelf availability
