Job Description

Job Title: Dispensing Technologist

Key Accountabilities

• Monitor and maintain pharmaceutical stocks and procure new stock as required
• Dispense drugs to staff on prescription and complete prescriptions as required
• Provide ad hoc advice to Medical Doctor on availability and efficacy of prescription drugs
• Attend presentations and courses on developments in pharmacology to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the area
• Organise clinical presentations to staff to promote awareness and knowledge of developments in pharmacology
• Compile general data on drugs received / used within the pharmacy and monitor pharmacy budget
• Prepare monthly reports on drugs issued and maintain up date records database
• Supervise activities of pharmacy assistant

Qualification Required & Experience

• HND in Pharmacy Technology from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience

Skills / Competencies Required

• Must be a team player with a high sense of commitment and honesty
• Must possess good communication skills
• Must possess good interpersonal skills
• Must be computer literate
