Job Title: Communication Fellow

Requirements

Job Duties:

• Implement a communications strategy, including actively participating in monthly and quarterly strategy meetings
• Manage social media platforms, creating and curating content for distribution including long forms, interviews, and multimedia content
• Help staff prepare for presentations and meetings to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Identify, evaluate, and track media opportunities
• Work with our local monitoring and evaluation team to engage all staff members in qualitative story collection
• Go into the field with team members as needed in order to connect to our customers, collect stories, and represent the company
• Identify and implement other tasks within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the role

Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferred degree in communications, marketing, international development or related field)
• 2-3 years experience in communications
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Project management skills; ability to coordinate and prioritise activities across various projects
• French-speaking preferred
• West African preferred

• Self-directed, intrinsically motivated; proven capacity to manage work independently, multitask and be responsive to time-sensitive deadlines
• Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to work diplomatically with diverse constituencies
