For our Professional Lighting Business in Ghana, we are looking for an experienced Sales/Business Development Manager with good knowledge of managing business partners to achieve stretching targets, working with stakeholders in the building and construction business, project management skills and a strong staying character to prevail over the challenges of the industry.

The development of the solution requires a multi-disciplinary approach and knowledge combined with the practicality of what would work.

Job Description

Job Title: Sales Manager Professional Trade

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing professional trade partners to achieve sales targets
  • You develop and Implement locally relevant channel strategy to drive sales growth and market share gains
  • You deliver against established operational targets while maximizing sales opportunities and profitability in your sales channel.
  • Identify and follow through execution ideas and programs to further grow market share and sales
  • Develop a cordial relationship with stakeholders in the construction business – consultants, architects, electrical engineers, builders and property owners to ensure an increase in Philips market share in the industry
  • Business development to drive Philips LED sales to businesses (Manufacturing, Financial, Insurance, Education, etc)
  • Formulates the solution for (technical) partial problems by combining previous experiences based on technical analysis and sales/business development (feasibility) studies.

We are looking for

We are looking for an experienced Sales/Business Developer who can work in a small team and lead small projects.

Preferred skills:

  • At minimum of 5 years working experience within a Sales/Business development role in challenging technical environment such as; Lighting, Automotive Industry, Heavy Equipment, Construction, Manufacturing, FMCG
  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Physics
  • Strong communication skills, proven ability to work in challenging environments, perseverance
  • Management skills worked as a team leader in small projects.
