Under the guidance and direct and supervision of the UNDP DRR/DCD (O), the Operations Analyst provides assistance to the execution of common services for the UNCT Operations Group by managing data and providing support to UN activities. The UNCT Operations Analyst works in close collaboration with the members of the UN-OMG for the effective coordination of common services relating to work plan, Budget preparation and monitoring of expenditures, HACT implementation, Surveys (DSA, Place to Place, Local and Hardship classification) as well as improving the quality of common services
Acts as secretary at the UN OMG monthly meetings (includes preparation of agenda, minutes and any other relevant documentation) as well as regular follow up and progress reports on implementation of decisions
Preparation and dissemination of relevant documentation to UN agencies and UN partners in the CO
Under the guidance and direction of the OMG, develop and submit work plan for common services to the UNCT
Monitor and report on the implementation of activities of the OMG inter-agency working groups/committees
Responsible for the correct apportionment of budget, indicate the corresponding proportional payment from each participating agency and billings
Synthesis of best practices and lessons learnt
Required Skills or Experience
A Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration or related field
Up to2 years relevant experience at officer or manager level with excellent writing and oral skills in the English language
Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web based management systems is required
Knowledge of the UN, UNDG Executive Committee Organizations, UN Coherence and Resident Coordinator systems would be an advantage

Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
Language Requirements: Fluency in the UN and national language of the duty station
