To achieve its objective of being the most loved media brand in Africa and beyond, our client seeks to fill it’s General Manager position with a highly motivated, creative, and result oriented individual who would achieve results through strategic leadership.
Job Title: GENERAL MANAGER, RADIO
Reporting to the Group CEO, the jobholder will ensure the smooth daily operation of all the Radio Stations within the
company. (S)he will also manage the administrative, technical, program, and sales aspects of all the stations and
maintain the work environment, personality, and financial viability of the business
Create and execute a clear strategy to ensure achievement of organisational goals.
Provide leadership, management and oversight responsibility to the Heads of Stations to maximize efficiencies and to ensure key objectives are met in terms of output, audience and revenue.
Establish, maintain, and review programming goals and services in line with the company’s mission and goals.
Oversee technical broadcast operations, and program content, delivery, format, and schedule.Ensure the station complies with laws, regulations and industry codes governing radio broadcasting.
Work with the Heads of Stations to set targets for all staff, identify training needs and submit to the Human Resource Department for the necessary action.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from a recognised institution.
Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in Brands Management with at least five (5) years supervisory experience preferably in Media.
Must have good understanding of Radio Branding.MBA or any professional qualification will be an added
